Perogies made of “love and laughter” now available

The Carrot Valley heritage was strong on Friday night as Carrot Valley Community Centre volunteers gathered to prepare and make what is sure to be a hit for future dinner tables, along the way raising funds for the hall. As with any organization, they were hit hard due to COVID-19 and had to put fundraising on hold, especially their much-anticipated fall supper. But pandemic or not, it didn’t stop the volunteers from gathering together in fellowship and putting in a huge effort to get ahead of other groups in advance of the holiday rush. Their goal, one hundred dozen perogies, as well as meat balls and meat (beef and vegetable) pies, all of which are available for purchase to help support the community centre. The recipes are well-guarded secrets, but said to be made from “love and laughter”. Those interested can call 204-623-3985 and leave a message or order from the Carrot Valley Community Centre Facebook page.
