Charges laid in drug bust


A drug bust in Norway House was made by RCMP last week.
The bust was reported on November 8th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., when members of the RCMP performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 373 and Paupanekis Road in the community of Norway House. The search was successful after one of the occupants of a vehicle was searched and found to be in possession of a .25 calibre pistol, as well as an unspecified amount of cocaine and cash.
The man, 26-year-old Josh Mink of Norway House, was arrested and charged with several offenses, including possession of a prohibited firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
A court date for Mink was not provided.
