MJHL announces pre-season schedule for 2019

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League announced their pre-season schedule last week, and it will kick off with the OCN Blizzard in action.
The club will undergo a very familiar pre-season schedule. While the team is one of six which will begin action on September 2nd, opening up on the road against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, the Blizzard will travel home for the next day to tangle with the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
The Bombers have become a regular staple for Blizzard pre-season home games due to the fact the two communities are just 90 minutes apart despite being in separate leagues.
The Blizzard will resume pre-season action against the Bombers in Flin Flon on September 7th before returning home on September 8th to battle the Wolverines once again to conclude their brief four game pre-season schedule.
The game on September 2nd doesn’t come long after the Blizzard begin their training camp, which the club announced late last month would start August 30th and go until September 1st.
OCN will kick off the regular season on September 26th, also giving the team a lengthy layoff between the end of the pre-season and the start of the regular season.
The first game for the club in the regular season is at home against the Wolverines.
While OCN missed the playoffs last season, the club is expected to fare better this year with a number of players from last years’ squad eligible to return for the 2019-2020 season.
