First grain shipment to Churchill in four years made

The Pas and the north in general, was facing several looming strikes against the potential for economic development just three years ago. One of the last of those issues appears to finally be in the rear-view mirror after it was announced late last week of the first grain shipment to the Port of Churchill.
“The long wait is over: for the first time since Fall 2015, a load of grain has arrived at the Port of Churchill by rail. These 25 grain cars are the first of many to come as we move towards the harvest months. Thank you, Churchill!,” read a post on the Arctic Gateway Group (AGG) social media page showing pictures of the cars on their trek north.
