Local businesses donate Foosball table for youth

The Reverend Jann Brooks reached out to the wider community for a foosball table and local area business people Doug and Jill Wilkinson, of Lakeshore Garden Centre and Kathy Larkins, of Hummingbird Garden Centre stepped up and donated a nearly mint foosball for use for local area youth.
The foosball table was used by the Wilkinson’s children, but still looks brand new. Jill Wilkinson stated that with the children out of the house and basement it was just sitting there. So, to re-purpose it, they decided to donate it.
Brew’s & Tunes is an event that will happen once a month on a Friday evening. The first event will be taking place on November 19th at The Pas Anglican Church from 7pm-11pm. All youth 13 - 19 are welcome but to ensure everybody stays safe, we ask that all members participating are masked and have their full COVID-19 vaccination.
The youth can listen to music played by local small bands, enjoy tea and coffee as well as snacks that will be provided. The entry fee is $5 to help cover the cost of the band, snacks and beverages. Pop will be sold for one dollar but tea and coffee will be free of charge. Brew’s & Tunes is an alcohol and drug free zone. The youth will have the option to play board games, cards, or just hang out and talk. The program will give youth freedom and not be forced into group activities or faith-based teachings.
