Drug bust made in Thompson

The Thompson RCMP reported a drug bust last week.
A search warrant was executed against a home on Deerwood Drive in the northern city on October 28 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The search proved fruitful, with oxycodone pills, cannabis and a large amount of cash seized, along with electrified knuckles.
The find led to charges against one man. Fifty-three-year-old Todd Burton, of Thompson, was arrested and subsequently charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.
Burton was remanded into custody.
The value of the bust, as well as the quantity of oxycodone pills seized, was not stated by police.
